Team Success at DrupalCon Barcelona 2024!

We are thrilled to announce that FOUR sessions from our team have been selected for DrupalCon Barcelona 2024! 🌍✨ This is a great opportunity for us to shine and share our passion and expertise with the global Drupal community.

Four sessions from the team have been selected for DrupalCon Barcelona 2024! This prestigious event offers an incredible platform to showcase expertise and contribute to the global Drupal community. Here’s a glimpse into the topics that will be presented:

  1. Adam Nagy:

    "Why on Earth Has This Not Been Released Yet?" - The Critical Gap in Drupal Contributions

    This session addresses a common frustration within the Drupal community: the gap between tested and untested contributions. It explores the challenges posed by unverified contributions and their impact on project reliability. Real-world examples from both the Drupal Community and the European Commission will illustrate the transformative power of rigorous testing. Attendees will learn how to avoid pitfalls of using poorly tested modules and learn strategies to ensure their projects benefit from reviewed contributions. 

  2. Montaña Franco González-Quijano

    How to Organize a Drupal Event in Your City or Country: Tips, Tricks, and Tales

    Organizing a successful local Drupal event can seem daunting, especially in the post-pandemic era of remote work. This session provides practical advice and shares experiences with various local events, from casual meet-ups to large-scale Drupal Camps. Topics covered include event planning, promotion, securing sponsorships, and managing logistics. The aim is to empower other communities to host their own Drupal events and foster local engagement.

  3. Hernani Borges De Freitas

    Drupal History in the European Commission

    The European Commission has a rich history of using Drupal, powering hundreds of websites over the past decade. This session traces the evolution of Drupal within the Commission, from its early days to its current role as a cornerstone of the Commission’s web infrastructure. Technical advancements and organizational strategies that have enabled the Commission to leverage Drupal’s full potential will be discussed. Attendees will gain insights into how the Commission has standardized workflows and fostered collaboration among its Drupal teams, significantly contributing to the Drupal community.

  4. Raquel Fialho

    Drupal Dives into Agile Waterfalls: Embracing Agile in Traditional Projects

    Integrating Agile principles into traditional waterfall project environments can be challenging but can also yield significant benefits. This session explores the intersection of Agile and waterfall methodologies, offering practical advice on how to introduce flexibility and adaptability into structured project frameworks. Strategies for achieving a balance that enhances project outcomes, satisfies client needs, and keeps development teams engaged and productive will be shared.
