Where open source meets public digital government
Drupal4Gov EU brings together the people shaping digital government in Europe: public administrations, European institutions, and the teams behind public services.
The agenda focuses on real-world case studies and practical lessons from people working at the heart of public digital delivery. It is intentionally not code-heavy: policy, procurement, governance, and organisational change matter as much as technology.
Taking place during EU Open Source Week, Drupal4Gov EU is designed to connect two communities that need each other in the room: the people shaping policy and the people building open source solutions for the public sector.
Conference themes
Public administrations use AI in production today. These sessions show what AI changes for content editors and for citizens. They also show the controls that responsible use in a public administration needs.
Many administrations use open source, but few have a policy for it. These sessions show how administrations contribute code back to the community. They also show how institutions and member states share code.
Sovereignty is a question about control. These sessions show where public digital services run, and who controls them. They also show what sovereignty means for procurement, for architecture, and for daily operations.
European administrations depend on shared software and data that public money pays for. This subject connects the three themes above. These sessions show how the community governs, funds, and maintains these shared resources.
